radio-frequency identification

Another focus segment is radio frequency identification (RFID) including electronic tag and smart card chips. Commonly the low frequency band is from 125k to 134.2K and high frequency band is 13.56 MHz. RFID reader can be classified mobile or fixed. RFID technology is becoming more widely used in areas such as: electronic tags for goods, access control systems, logistics and supply management, aviation baggage handling, mail/courier parcel processing, and urban transport card.
